Its front is embossed with the figure of the 13th Arhat, Yinjietuo. The inscription on the reverse side refers to the Arhat in his patchwork kasaya robe, carrying a walking stick, with a sutra scroll placed across his chest, followed by a lamentation about the inadequacy of the written word in revealing all philosophical truths. Yinjietuo ranks 13th among the 18 Arhats. He was a snake catcher in ancient India, often going to the moutains carrying a sack to catch venomous snakes which he would release after extracting their fangs.
