[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]STATUETTE OF A BODHISATTVA, white marble, heavily stained and encrusted with foreign matter through burial, a figure of indeterminate sex, hair done in a bun on top of head concealed from the front view by a crown-like headgear, eyes closed in meditation, long ears partly concealed b y hairdo, tassel of jewels as part of necklace hung on the chest, a mantle over the shoulders over the torso, under which skirt reaching just above the bare feet, a long scarf appearing in two pendent loops in front of the lower part of the body with one end drapping over the slightly bent right arm carry a full basket and the other in the crook of the left arm bent toward the shoulder with the hand holding a stylized lotus blossom, both ends dropped to reach the sides of the simulated rock plinth of the statuette.
