[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]A student of Gao Qifeng (1889 - 1933), Zhao Shaoang extended the influence of the Lingnan School through this teaching and artistic influence. This style of painting has dominated the Hong Kong art scene for the last 40 years. Zhao Shaoang was sensitive to the subtle changes of colours when depicting nature such as flowers, birds and insects. He was skilled in using the "water infusion" and "powder infusion" techniques of colour application favoured by the Lingnan School.
