[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]BLUE-AND-WHITE PLAQUE, a sort of hollow tile, with round holes through the sides, presumably for fixing to something else; the front surface bearing an inscription in cobalt blue (somewhat inky) recording the offering of a set of altar furniture with motif of the Eight Immortals to a deity by a devotee Hu Wenyu in the names of seven generations of his family (all listed), in the 12th year of Qing jiaqian reign (1808 AD), all within a broad leiwen (key fret) border and under a transparent glaze with greenish tinge, surface with slight orange-peel effect, back surface unglazed revealing white, refined porcelain.
