It was commissioned by Wu's sons, Shouyue and Shouren in memory of Wu and his first wife, Madam Zhang. It records the name of Wu, his place of residence, his family members and names of his offspring and grandchildren. This is followed by further information about Wu who was born in 1470 and passed away in 1534 at the age of 65. Zhang died later at the age of 71. Both were buried together beside his ancestral tomb, in a plot of land marked 'Shan', at the foot of a mountain in ‘Ershisidu’. Lastly, total farmland owned by the family and its geographical areas were listed.
