DescripciónJar with cylindrical body, made by coiling; floral motif painted in iron-black underglaze; medium grey glaze; specks of black on body.CYLINDRICAL JAR with straight and lipped mouth sloping shoulders and flat, somewhat concave base, mouth made as if for a lid, now lost; decorated with three large sprays of flowers, in free hand brushwork in dark brown, spaced equidistant around the body on imperfectly slip-coated ground; inside and out covered with a thin layer of greenish grey glaze reaching just above the base in a wavy line; grey ware heavily speckled in black; unglazed and thinly glazed parts burnt to russet, - a unique feature being a ring of spur marks at base of neck; might be taken for Changsha ware, but probably Cionglai (Sichuan) of Tang period.
