Wee Beng Chong is a very versatile artist who excels in Chinese and Western art (traditional and modern). He is a painter, sculptor, calligrapher and seal carver. He is the first painter to be awarded the Cultural Medallion for excellence in Art in 1979. He is also one of the founders of the Singapore Modern Art Society.
