Born in 1934, he was educated first at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, then went to the UK to study sculpture and ceramics at the North Staffordshire College of Technology and the Farnham School of Art. He donated his personal collection to NUS in 1997-1998 for further study in the setting of the University. He also served as an adviser and instructor to the NUS CFA’s Ceramic Studio project. It has a ‘camouflage’ colouring like that on our army uniforms, but this is in very bright colours.
