TítuloCalligraphy in Official Script after the Huashan Stele 隶书华山庙碑
CreadorLing Yunchao
DescripciónThis panel is the second of the set of Four Hanging Scrolls written by Ling Yunchao. It is an extract of the inscription from the Huashan Stele installed in the eighth year of Yanxi (165 CE), during the Eastern Han period. The original inscription detailed the worship rituals of Heaven and Earth conducted by the emperor. With its characteristic square and robust form, it was hailed as a masterpiece of official script of the Han Dynasty.
It is on this particular scroll that Ling showed the great pains he took to capture the bold and majestic aura of the script inscribed on the Huashan Stele.
此为凌云超《四体书屏联》之二,节选《西岳华山庙碑》部分语句,其碑立于东汉延熹八年(165),记述帝王修封禅、祭天地之事;书体方整厚重,称为汉隶第一品。
