DescripciónThis is gestural painting where the stroke as it touches the paper says it all. No further explanation is required as the instinctive gesture reveals the state of mind of the painter at the moment of contact of his brush with paper. Tan Teo Kwang attended the St. Martin's School of Art in London from 1962 to 1967. This coincided with the period when American Abstract-Expressionism was the rage in art schools. Teo Kwang was no doubt influenced by the trend. He had also stated that the key to his style was the Chinese character which he exploited.
