العنوانSalampe (women's head or shoulder wrap) or Pebasa (men's waist wrap) - C
الوصفThis brilliant yellow and deep red garment is said to have belonged to the Sultan of Bima who wore it as a waist wrap. It could double-up as a court woman's shoulder or head wrapper. The use of tapestry weave to form a large hexagonal shape in the centre-field is unique to Sumbawa. The technique enables the formation of solid colour blocks that meet as a staggered line at the transverse margins of the centre-field or as a row of tumpal (triangular motifs) along the lateral margins.
