款识:詹大有制
DescriptionThe ink-stick takes the shape of three conjoined coins, forming an auspicious symbol. The propitious theme is reinforced by characters meaning "long life" and "bestowing an eternal legacy", executed in both seal and regular scripts.
On the reserve side is an inscription, "Made by Zhan Dayou" in regular script. Zhan was a renowned ink-stick maker during the 19th century.
三钱连身为吉祥纹样造型之一,又以篆刻“延年”、“长毋相忘”及楷书“延年益寿,长毋相忘”吉祥字句与造型相呼应;墨锭背楷书“詹大有制”。詹大有为清晚期(十九世纪)制墨名匠。
Footnote:
因墨锭依靠模具翻制,在木制模具上进行雕刻,艺匠们非常考究阴、阳刻之刀法和不同书体,又于楷书文字上涂金彩,既有文字突显的实用性,也有装饰上的珍贵作用。
以天然朱砂矿物质调成的朱墨,最早于殷商时期(公元前十六至十一世纪),墨料珍贵,多为御用墨或贡品墨,清代皇帝常以朱砂墨批示奏章。
